Trouble in Solar City

There continues to be issues of fraud and mismanagement in the solar industry.CFACT
One of the largest solar companies in the country must pay tens of millions of dollars in fines to settle allegations it lied to the government to receive federal subsidies.
Solar City, a subdivision of electric vehicle maker Tesla, agreed to pay $29.5 million to resolve allegations the company submitted inflated claims to cash in on a solar stimulus program, the Department of Justice announced Friday. This is not an admission of guilt.
In 2015 Congress gave the solar industry a gift of your money when it extended the 30% tax credit until 2019. It tapers down to 10% by 2022.

Watch for an intense lobbying campaign to convince Congress to ramp them back up when the tax credits begin to wane in two years.

It's time to stop the looting of the U.S. taxpayer.

Is Georgetown watching the development of the solar farm near Ft Stockton to make sure the construction costs are not over stated to obtain larger tax credits? If not, they should be to protect Georgetown and the U.S. taxpayer.
