Top 10 Employers in Georgetown

Did you know that the top three employers are governement entities paid for by the taxpayer?

In fact, all of the top 10 employers, except Airborn Inc., rely heavily on the taxpayer/home owner. The healthcare organizations receive substantial portions of their budgets from taxpayers through various levels of government ranging from the Federal Government to the City Government.

It is strange to see that H.E.B. is not included in the top 10 as they reportably employ several hundered people in their two Georgetown stores.

The good news is that the percentage of government funded employers in the top 10 is decreasing over the last ten years, which means the number of privately funded empolyers are increasing.
