Georgetown ISD Superintendent Pay 2X the Next Highest Paid Employee

Has any GISD board member been asked why the superintendent is paid almost twice as much as the next highest paid employee? Are the students and their families getting value for the money paid the superintendent?

Did you know that 23 employees of GISD are paid more that $95,000 annually?

Keep in mind these numbers represent the direct salaries and do not include any perks such as district contributions to health care, life insurance, retirement, cell phones, vehicles, etc.

  1. It has been my thought that that high cost of administration means less dollars for the classroom. Why should teachers have to buy classroom materials? Why should we have to contribute (HEB?) to this cost. Two factors: Unions, and government meddling. Just to name a few examples.
