Georgetown Needs Open and Transparent City Government

The Texas Public Policy Foundation hosted a forum yesterday on the Texas Public Information Act that identified several serious short-comings of existing law.

A summary of the forum by the moderator, Ross Ramsey can be found here.
"Efforts to close loopholes in the state's open information laws fell short at the end of last year's legislative session. An interim committee intended to get a head start before the 2019 session hasn't met. Its members haven't even been named."
Contact Representative Terry Wilson and Senator Charles Schwertner to urge the Texas Senate and House leaders to appoint the interim committe.
