I think the long term is going to prove that to be true."Of course the issue is the money. $28M+ has already been lost and even if the energy prices recover so that the energy contract prices are cheaper than those available through ERCOT in the future, the $28M+ will not be recovered and paid back to the rate payers through lower electric prices.
So it is unlikely that the green energy contracts will ever be a "good deal" for Georgetown rate payers.
In the meantime the rate payers are paying higher prices for electricity!
